Sepiana - This was probably about 15-20 feet away. I'm granted floor-seating, trackside; so I'm close to it all. Shooting with a 70-200, f2.8 lets me get tight on the faces. I balance the lack of ambient light with 2 off-camera speedlights. Maybe that was too much information. ;-) Not for me......I was wanting to ask you what lens you used but figured it was the 70-200. I have agonized about that lens for the past several years. I know it would help me get better shots at my granddaughter's gymnastics meets but I'm afraid it's too heavy for me. I REALLY need to rent it! Definitely rent one if you can Helen. FWIW, I have the Tamron. I honestly think it's as sharp as, if not sharper than, the Nikon lens and it's considerably less expensive. The auto-focus is nearly flawless and is fast and quiet. I love it and use it heavily probably about 45 weekends out of the year. There is some weight to it, so try one first. Good luck ... Nikon, Canon or Tamron, I know you'll love the difference. Please share the results!

A slightly odd image! I was playing around with my Fuji's double exposure feature so there are only an odd number of bricks with odd numbers but with double exposure 5 became 10 Tony

A slightly odd image! I was playing around with my Fuji's double exposure feature so there are only an odd number of bricks with odd numbers but with double exposure 5 became 10 Tony Tony, very original interpretation of Going Odd! I love how you took it to another level with a double exposure effect. It resulted in an image which makes one stop and take the time to look at it. Great odd job!

Take your pick . . . . 1 or 3. whippet, this is a very clever interpretation of this theme. Really nice composition -- simple, no distracting elements. Well done!

Christmas is long over, but this wreath is still on display. Andy, perfect for this theme! Great shot -- clear and sharp. I really like the square crop.
