I have PSE 14 running on the computer with this update. Would you like me to check the situation? I have already tried PSE14: no problems at all. Working in floating windows works well as before. Others have mentioned problems, probably linked to the RAM size.

While I waited for your response, I went ahead and tested PSE 14. No problems whatsoever! Even the floating windows are working as they should!

Michel, I noticed something else going on with PSE 2018 after this Windows 10 update. Have you experienced this? Have you received any reports on the Adobe forums?
PSE 2018 seems to be struggling to go from the Editor to the Organizer. Sometimes it takes an inordinate amount of time to open the Organizer; other times the Organizer won't open at all. This doesn't happen all the time though.
PSE 15 doesn't seem to be affected.

It's a bit long (15 seconds), but nothing very unusual in my case. That may depend on the 'automatic' options like 'smart tags'. Those background task may use a lot of computer resources without warning.

Michel, thanks! I did more testing since I posted about this issue. The Organizer is now opening faster (the way it did before the Windows update). Also, it is now opening each and every time. It looks like it was just a temporary glitch.

New workaround for the 'poststamp' image when in 'floating windows': I just found that keeping the Ctrl key pressed while opening the image opens it in the normal floating window. Is it the same for other users?

Just tried that and yes it does...holding the Ctrl key down and dragging and dropping an image also works. Thanks for that michelb.

Michel, more good news! I asked a friend of mine to give it a try; it worked for her as well. Here is my earlier report on what she was experiencing.
Michel,
Yesterday I helped a friend of mine install this Windows 10 update on her computer. She has 32GB RAM and is using PSE 2018. I focused on testing the problem areas mentioned in those Adobe forum threads. CONFIRMED for all of them! Furthermore, she has the same problem you and I have with floating documents. These results seem to confirm that a high amount of RAM is playing a key role here.
Her computer came with Windows 8 Pro. She had it upgraded to Windows 10 Pro by a Microsoft tech at one of their local stores. I believe this happened sometime last summer.

New workaround for the 'poststamp' image when in 'floating windows': Michel, good news. There is no need for this workaround in PSE 2019 running on Windows 10. The problem has been fixed. Way to go, Adobe!!!
