Those Canadian Geese get everywhere and to think that they were on the way to becoming extinct not that long ago. Another "G" bird that can be a bit annoying is the Gull. This one was hoping I was going to feed it instead of just take its photo! Another natural G I ran across today was this Green Cottongrass. Not strictly a grass but a sedge but it is Green .. Tony Tony, First image -- Up close and personal with the gull, amazing details, great DOF! Just look at that face. It screams "Feed Me!". Amazing shot! Second image -- spot-on focus, great DOF. Beautiful composition (simple yet a classic)! I am curious. What kind of lens did you use to take these shots?

Both those shots were taken with my Fuji XE-2S mirrorless with a 50-230mm lens - zoomed to around 180mm. That's my go to lens for close-ups without having to get too close. Tony

Tony Tony, thanks for answering my question! A friend of mine has the same camera. I am going to check if she has a lens like that. I could take it for a spin.

Andy, impressive! Great job capturing the carved details on the gravestone. I really like the up close & personal approach.

Rick, great interpretation of this theme; the alliteration is a bonus. Clear and sharp image!

G is for Govenor General's House. The GG is Queen Elizabeth's appointed representative for the Crown to Australia. I took this shot on my morning walk in the Royal Botanical Gardens today.
