I had to try something other than a flower so how about a lighthouse. I changed the crystallize/median filter layer blend mode to luminosity having just read my other note about luminosity preserving color - and in this case it did! Instead of Liquifying I used the Oil Paint filter and after the texture layer added a Jodi layer style frame. Good to see all the variations - keep them coming! Tony

Good to see all the variations - keep them coming! Your wish is my command.
- Applied the Oil Paint filter instead of the Liquify filter. - Applied a Color Lookup adjustment layer. - Created the frame with Filter Forge.

Afraid I still can't do step 6. Can't find the burn tool.
Old shack ruin.

The Burn tool is located in the Enhance category of the Tools panel; it is nested with the Sponge and the Dodge tool. Shortcut = O.

No wonder I couldn't find it. When I hover over that icon, it just says - Dodge tool.

I'm glad you figured it out whippet . I was going to post a note that that tool presents a different icon depending on which sub-tool was used, sponge, dodge or burn. Evidently you used the dodge last, so that is what is presented. I have been frustrated many times trying to find one of those tools because I had used a different one sometime earlier.

I am more than frustrated now, Tom. I have just done what I considered my best - took me ages.
I need some R&R (rest & relaxation) now.

Adobe has made some changes concerning nested tools. Earlier versions -- The tiny arrow next to a tool’s icon indicating a tool group was displayed all the time.
Starting with PSE 11 -- You need to move your cursor over a section of the Tools panel. Then, the tiny arrows will be visible.
Earlier versions -- You could right-click on the tool's icon or hold your mouse down to see the other tools in the group.
Starting with PSE11 -- You need to repeatedly Alt/Option-click on the current tool’s icon to cycle through them.

Thank you, Tony. I cut the brush strokes right down on this one, because Milly looked very odd. So I had an extra play around.
