Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else.
- Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation.
- Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

So while waiting for two trains this morning I decided to whip out my camera. Looking at this week's challenge I thought why stop with vertical......here we have criss-crossed, curved, circular, slanted, horizontal and even vertical! I'll stick to vertical if I have another opportunity, but couldn't resist!  |

Good eye Helen seeing all those lines and shapes. The horizontal and criss-crossed lines accentuate the vertical lines.

Stretching the limits of vertical lines perhaps.  Across the street: willow stems (somewhat vertical), vertical spruce cones (told you it was a stretch..they are sort of vertical) and some shoreline grass. Clive  |

It was nice to see some sun today and had to stop and catch this silhouette of several vertical structures against an interesting sky. Pity the contrails are horizontal and not vertical lines in the sky but the planes were heading into Detroit and not flying to the moon  Tony |

One more - with rather a lot of vertical lines. In fact they are pipes and it's a fountain but shut off for the winter so I was able to get up close for a picture and not get wet!  Tony |

Two shots of "verticals" from the ever-rewarding Thames Path - I never tire of walking it through London. The first shot was taken at St Saviour's Dock, said to have been Dickens' inspiration for Fagin's hideout in "Oliver Twist". The second shot was a gift, peeping through the gates of Greenwich Yacht Club near the Thames Barrier.

It paid off! |
