The winds blow a LOT here on the plains. Today, an old-fashioned Chinook howled down off the mountains 100 km to the west. ( Adiabatic warming of downward moving air off the mountains produces the warm föhn wind called a "Chinook" [Wiki].) The max wind gust today was 87 kph! There was a fabulous Chinook Arch today, but I was in the wrong place ... at the right time, and I've yet to perfect teleportation.  This is reed grass in our front yard blowing in the wind. |

Although it was windy again, sunshine is my sort of weather...none of those dark blue clouds today. This was shot 5 minutes before sunset about 100 m from our front door in the park across the road....just farmland beyond.  |

Just took this off the balcony........yes, it's raining! Helen, nicely done! It would be hard to pick one image. They are both great interpretations of Weather. |
