Hello All, My PSE 18 Windows book, tells me how to view the pics I have in a stack. The old 'arrow icon' in the middle of the top pic of the stack, use it to 'expand the stack'. Click there to expand and see the pics in that stack. And then, that 'a l eft pointing arrow appears on the right of the last image in a stack. Click this arrow, and the stack is collapsed." (Emphasis mine) -- 'PSE 18 4 dummies'.I have no problem creating stacks. I even get the icon in the upper right hand corner on the first image of my stack, letting me know that I have successfully created my stack. HOWEVER, I have NEVER seen any of the 'arrows' that are mentioned above. Any ideas? Help please. Thank you, Dean

Hi Dean, welcome to PSE&M! Glad to have you here.
It looks like you are in the Adaptive Grid view, a new Organizer view Adobe introduced back in PSE 13. You need to be in the Detailed view to see those arrows. To toggle between these two views, just press Ctrl-D (Cmmd-D on a Mac) or go to View>Details.

Quick question, somewhat related. How do I get my organizer to show "stacks"? I like that view so I don't inadvertently delete original photos, but keep the edited versions. I like to keep the originals also. Thanks in advance. ***Actually, I guess my question is how do I get my edits to save in "stacks".***

Select the Save In Version Set With Original option, specify a name for the file (or leave the default name), and click Save.
I edited a photo, and followed these instructions. If I leave "Save in Version Set with Original" checked, will that option remain? Ultimately that's what I'm trying to do, but if not, at least I know to check that box every time now. Thanks for the help!

If I leave "Save in Version Set with Original" checked, will that option remain? Yes. Once you turn on the "Save in Version Set With Original" option, it should stick.
