While visiting River Walk in San Antonio TX today, this sign caught my eye! Wayne, great shot! Sharp and detailed! A typical American scene -- Chinese, Italian, and Mexican food signs next to each other.

In spite of the chilly temperatures and the gale force winds, here come the first signs of spring: the first leaves just starting to appear on these willow trees and the blue sky with its promise of warmer weather to come.
It seems blindingly obvious, but these signs are invaluable to any walker. What would I, in particular, do without them!
Brenda
Brenda, great job capturing both nature- and man-made signs. If I had to pick one image, Mother Nature’s signs would be my choice. Beautiful! Such a bucolic setting!

The sign post was put at the Village Green in 1910. More than 50 years ago, the A19 was re routed, as it became a major north/south dual carriageway. It is now about half a mile away.
The barber shop is quite close to the Green.
The work signs were put there yesterday, and will remain outside my drive gates for ten days.
whippet, you captured such an array of different signs, spanning more than 50 years. Great shots all around!

There is no longer a bowling alley here. It closed after the roof collapsed under the weight of snow a number of years ago. The company that took over the property left the sign.

Mrs B. and I are currently in Wuxi, China. This is the view from our apartment of some signs.
Bailey, nicely done. The downward angle makes this a unique shot.
Thank you sepiana We are in Shanghai at the moment (about 1hr by bullet train from Wuxi). Returng to Wuxi tomorrow.

Andy, very interesting finding -- a "decommissioned" sign. I really like how you included that old truck in your shot. It goes well with the sign -- a thing of the past.

Well, at least there are plenty of other signs in the first picture, Clive.

The breezes around here are legendary. In 1985, Lethbridge's 100th anniversary, this wind gauge was built for a joke at the tourism center. All in fun. The gauge is a sign of the wind (although the ball is welded in place) and there actually is a sign describing the imaginary wind speeds.

Berengaria , I really like how you composed your shot -- the barn with the sign framed by the fence and the trees. Great capture!
Pleased to see you participating in the WP challenge. Hope you come back!
