Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. - Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

A brief respite from Hot today and the wild flower garden is in full bloom. I do like wild gardens and they are lot easier to maintain than formal gardens! Thanks for the theme - gardens are some of my favourite places to visit and photograph. Tony

It was a dreary, overcast and rainy day back in April while travelling on the bullet train between Wuxi and Shanghai, China.
This is one of the rural "farms" scattered between the two cities. I don't know what crops were being grown in the market gardens (I assume) in the foreground and background.
Houses of any kind exist only outside of the major cities. In the cities themselves, everyone lives in an apartment or similar. There are no houses at all in the cities.
(enlargement is clearer.)

It highlights the informal nature of such gardens. Great detailed and colorful image!

I'll go with a shot from the Portland Japanese Garden this morning. Thanks for the theme Sepiana! Bill, soft (muted colors), natural framing of the bridge/water, leading line (path), great lighting. Beautiful!

Took these flowers from the garden areas on our property today..... Helen, nice take on this theme -- capturing not a garden (as a whole) but choosing individual flowers. Great composition and DOF!

First two - Ropner Park. Third - Mine. whippet, you captured some colorful gardens. I really like the composition in the first image -- with the steps leading to the garden, inviting the viewer in.

The beer garden at our local pub, all ready for the arrival of thirsty drinkers and smokers. Dennis Dennis, what a finding -- a beer garden! I really like the angle/perspective of your shot; it draws our eyes across the frame. I love geometric shapes and your image has quite a variety.
