Here's a landscape orientation of the landscaping at a nearby condo. (This morning's dew is still on the grass.) Thanks for the theme Sepiana. Bill, great shot -- very "atmospheric". I really like the angle you used to take your shot and how you captured the early morning light.

Wild sunflower, Porcupine Hills, Alberta. July 29, 2019. Levels adjustments. Not cropped: format as shot. Clive, a perfect choice of subject for a landscape orientation. You made great use of the negative space compositional technique.

I went for a drive this afternoon and wandered around the south end of the Porcupine Hills. Amazing place. I am too literal: these are indeed actual landscapes. Some adjustments, but not cropped. Format is as shot. The top two show immature baled barley that will be used for winter feed. The bottom scene was shot at an elevation of 5,000 feet looking toward the sun, so made a few adjustments in ACR and also applied the "auto haze removal" in PSE 2018.) Clive, three well-composed and colorful images. If I had to choose one, I would go for the 3rd one -- layers and layers of interest, including a glimpse of a road down below.

Saw these kite surfers in the distance a little while ago and wondered if I could get a shot of them...... Helen, it looks like you got it. What a great idea! Those kite surfers add motion to the scene.

Always fond of roads like this where there might be something interesting round the next corner. This was also a first experiment using my Tamron wide-angle lens (10-24) for a Nikon on my Fuji mirrorless camera with a very basic cheap adaptor ($30). Because the camera can't talk to the lens you have to manually focus and guess what the aperture setting is but the camera did seem to get the exposure right and I was happy with the result so now have a few more lenses to play with on my favourite camera! Tony, I am also quite fond of such roads. Beautiful, colorful shot, leading lines, and . . . a composition to die for. Congratulations on your wide-angle lens! Pleased to see you putting it to good use in the WP challenge.

Frank, you chose a very interesting subject for a landscape orientation. Great job capturing its colors! The details are amazing.

A very scenic par 3 hole at Heron Point Golf Links Wayne, golf courses are a good candidate for a landscape orientation. You nailed this shot -- in both composition and DOF!

Taken from today's walk, as I try to tackle The Saxon Shore Way on my own, discovering an ancient coastline with only an out-of-date guide book to help me. Made it to Hoo St Werburgh, and the bus back to the railway. The skeleton of the ship lies off the Shorne Marshes and the castle is at Cooling, dating back to the 14th century. Brenda, great job on more than one count -- composition, DOF, and . . . two subjects with a history to go along. It can't get any better! I admire your dedication to fitness (walking) and how you incorporate it into the WPC challenge. Keep walking and keep shooting!

We went out early this morning to try to catch the elite riders in the Bike London/Surrey 100 mile race, which attracts 70,000 cyclists. We missed the elite riders, but there were plenty of others! Afterwards, we took a stroll along the Thames at Hampton Court and watched the river traffic. Dennis, perfect choices of subject for a landscape orientation. I love how you shot the bike riders -- getting into the action, close to the riders, and . . . capturing the expression on their faces. Well done!

This is a Blue Dasher, captured at a local pond. I was trying out a new camera and lens. Angela, great shot! I really like the uncluttered composition, the diagonal line formed by the branch, and the black background. Congratulations on your new camera/lens! Pleased you tried them out for this challenge.
