Portland has been inundated again this summer by rental scooters. They clutter every street corner waiting to begin their unpredictable journeys. Here are a few of them at rest. Bill, this image has everything going for it -- composition, perspective, DOF, and . . . the subject! You got a winner here.

When I got up on Monday morning, these two fawns were resting on our lawn right below the picture window in our trailer (caravan). Shot through a screened glass window in low light. Clive, in the right place at the right time. Great job capturing those two (considering the circumstances).

My girls doing what they enjoy most. Some of my bulbs at rest until Spring. whippet, two completely different subjects, both perfectly at rest. I really like the first shot of your girls; she seems to be looking directly at you and your camera.

Here's a couple that have been at rest on this bench for several years - although they do occasionally change their clothes Tony Tony, what a finding for the At Rest theme! Very unusual. Great idea zooming in so we can appreciate how "real" they look.

We took a trip yesterday on a preserved railway. Here is the King Edward II engine at rest before hauling our excursion through the Cotswolds countryside. Dennis Dennis, and a steam one. Awesome! Great composition -- the engine going diagonally across the frame, allowing the viewer to enjoy its beauty.

A walk around the pond at my local park yielded several results--a Ladybug, lots of Skippers, but this is my favourite. A Damselfly rested long enough to allow me to get this shot. Angela, your walk paid off. Nicely composed shot, great DOF, and amazing details.

At rest, just waiting for the arrival of the next meal. Dennis Dennis, this takes top honors for more than one reason -- subject, composition, DOF, colors. I love it! I keep going back to this image.
