A slightly more recent piece of harvesting equipment - a McCormick Deering steel husker shredder ca 1930's? and still working ... corn stalks in one end, cobs out the other, shredded stalks onto the ground  |

I'll match that one with a larger ball - one of the Moeraki Boulders in New Zealand - we have similar concretions near here in Ontario but not as big as the New Zealand ones.  |

Gosh I haven't seen anything like that before Jacki... Yes, it was very weird looking stuff, almost spider webby? in appearance and texture, lots of rocks on that beach were covered in it.
