A slightly more recent piece of harvesting equipment - a McCormick Deering steel husker shredder ca 1930's? and still working ... corn stalks in one end, cobs out the other, shredded stalks onto the ground

I'll match that one with a larger ball - one of the Moeraki Boulders in New Zealand - we have similar concretions near here in Ontario but not as big as the New Zealand ones.

Gosh I haven't seen anything like that before Jacki... Yes, it was very weird looking stuff, almost spider webby? in appearance and texture, lots of rocks on that beach were covered in it.

Jacki Yup, those are weird. Perhaps fine white sea weed? Here are some more ocean rocks with white whispy waves ... a 20-second exposure.
