What I find especially notable about the above butterfly images is that they all have their wings intact. Often butterflies I see have tears in their wings.

Helen, I've not paid a lot of attention to BF wings ... we don't see many here. I know by season's end dragonfly wings are in tatters. Carrying along the line of "blue morph" as in Tony's last post, here is a pair blue morph snow geese aka simply blue goose. Blue goose and regular snow goose ... same species
