Took this in a slightly different direction I like to divide my photos into strips - leave space between the strips - and put it on a different background This is accomplished by using a template of 5 rectangles and clipping the photo to the template I outlined and shadowed my rectangles to give more definition photo: cats4jan logo: extracted from my photo background: brushes excuse the quality - this is a screenshot - can't find my original

After you make you select you can right click on the select and select transform selection and right click on it again to distort or any of the other options.
