I cannot remember the sequence of keys to cycle through the blend modes. Can anyone help? And I think there is a blend mode for the brush tool that allows me to paint a colour on an object which allows me to keep the underlying texture of an object?? Thank you

Hi HappyScot, try this.
1. Select the Move Tool (V). 2. Hold down the Shift key. 3. Tap the plus sign key (+) to scroll forward through the blending modes. 4. Tap the minus sign key (-) to scroll backward through the blending modes.
Another way -- Click on the blending mode once and, then, use the up and down arrow keys.

You can use the blendmode of Color either on a new layer and Paint on the layer making it non-destructive or you can change the blend mode of the brush tool to color. You may want to remember to change the blendmode of the brush tool back to normal when you are done as they do not change back automatically.

Another way -- Click on the blending mode once and, then, use the up and down arrow keys. I knew there had to be an easier way. I might have known this one time in my life, but thanks for the reminder.

Try your arrow keys on other 'stuff' -
I highlighted my text (click on the T Icon in the layer panel) - then put my cursor in the font box - I could scroll through the fonts with the arrow keys. A bonus - I could see how my text would look in each font as I scrolled. Also works with font size.
I'm going to investigate other uses of the arrow keys. How did I miss this?

(Currently getting some strange error messages with the 2020 release so working my way through them!!). HappyScot, I have PSE 2020 installed on two computers. No problems whatsoever! I would suggest you start a new thread about these error messages; we may be able to figure out what is going on.
