Nice challenge Sepiana - thanks. I used the Bas Relief filter on the flowers 2 different misc textures from Photoshop Artistry sets to one of which I added the Hue blend mode. I extracted the flowers from their white BG and gave them a linear light blend mode. Added a grunge frame from all-free-downloads.

That was fun over early morning coffee. batterup55, This looks like it was fun indeed. I really like this effect; it is kind of hypnotic and it gives a sense of motion to the dahlias. Would you mind sharing how you did it? And . . . welcome to the EP challenge! Looking forward to your continuing participation.

I never thought of using a grunge frame with (delicate) flowers. You made the right choice -- perfect companion for the Bas Relief filter (metallic-looking effect).

fotofrank , you never cease to surprise me. Very creative! Frame and hang it on the wall! I love the feeling of depth created by the shadows. How did you do that?

ritage , this is simply beautiful! It looks ethereal, delicate. I love the colors! Which Topaz filter did you use to change the colors? ReStyle?

Sepiana - the answer is a bunch of layers, effects, masking and blend modes.

- Ran Sepiana-Fotofrank’s Color Sketch action. - Created the background with Filter Forge (Linen Like Fabric). - Applied a Color Lookup adjustment layer (Cyanobleach). - Created the vignette effect with ON1 Photo RAW (Burnout). - Created the text and border overlay with PSE (Guided Edit>Special Edits).

I will be practicing your technique.

I first ran one of the GLOW filters at reduced opacity which enhanced the contrast, but I don't remember which one, then Restyle for the color change.

Frank, your second try is awesome. I love it! Please, what is your "recipe" to achieve this effect?
