Helen, two nice and timely shots. I like the second one -- monochrome, simple composition, lots of negative space.

whippet , two great findings! I really like the Garden of Peace shot -- leading lines inviting the viewer to take a walk in the garden and enjoy the colorful leaves.

A cold windy blast from Alberta (thanks Clive ) dropped most of the leaves and some snow this week so here's a shot from today: And one of our tamaracks (aka American larch) is changing colour and starting to drop its needles (often described as a messy tree but I like it!) Tony

tonyw , great capture! The leaves-covered trail winding its way into the frame inviting us to follow it. I really like the angle you used to take this shot.

dennis9 , two beautiful shots! The play of light/shadows in the first shot brings out the texture on the leaves; the simple (uncluttered) composition of the second shot (a single leaf floating in the water) is a classic. Well done!

blackmutt , great job on more than one count -- composition, use of lighting, spot-on focus, DOF.

tonyw , two well-composed, sharp, detailed shots. My favorite is the first one (three leaves, tree branch, snow). I love the angle (perspective) of this shot.
