LOVE this, Lillias! Tried it today and it's not as hard as it first seemed when looking at your example.....and is actually quite fun!

I'm so pleased you tried this Helen and had fun along the way. Great result too. I'm sure this effect could be tweaked - maybe include gradient colours and bevels. I might give that a try at some point.

Going in another direction... Although you can make a photo reflection with PSE, the river reflection was natural - I divided my photo in two to place the wording between halves

It you wouldn't mind, it would be nice to add a link to it.

I followed it without modification and really liked it! I hope I can get myself to revisit it when I have time to play with it some more.

I agree about your font, Tom. At first I thought it was edged in silver.

This is very cool. Thanks Lillias. But I hit a wall... all was going grand until the last letter. Hope the screen shots are self explanatory. The W alone would not select. Even though the W was selected in the layers panel, it would not capture and the entire graphic was selected. Tried it several times. Saved as psd and closed and re-opened. Nope. Any suggestions? Thanks and HAPPY NEW YEAR! (Y'all staying up til midnight? ) AND THEN ... SOME SORT OF OPERATOR ERROR

Sorry you are having problems Clive. Looking at screen shot number one you have the layer for the letter O selected and not the W. Other than that, your layers panel looks as it should and I don’t know why you can’t select the W. Your second screen shot shows that you have inadvertently clicked the icon linking the letter ‘W’ layer with your Background layer and that would cause both to move together. Other than that I’m afraid I don’t know what else could cause the problems you are experiencing.
Perhaps try deleting the W layer and creating a new W layer and see if that works.

Lillias: " linking the letter ‘W’ layer with your Background layer" Gosh I never did anything different for the W, but seem to have it fixed now. Will try to complete the project today. I see some possible uses for this. Thanks again. Thanks Clive
