Help please. PSE 2020 has suddenly started crashing today. When I try to open it I get to the point where it says ‘Reading Workspace Modes’ and then it hangs and a crash dialogue box appears. I can't access the software at all. What is the correct way to go about uninstalling and reinstalling this software. I’m thinking, do I need to de-activate it first and if so how do I do that when I can’t open it. I am running Windows 10.
Any help would be appreciated.

BillieJean, Go through the Control Panel. If you have only one copy of PSE 2020 installed and you are installing it back on the same computer, you should be OK even if you can't deactivate it. Here are Adobe instructions: Uninstall Adobe Premiere Elements or Photoshop Elements

If you have only one copy of PSE 2020 installed Thank you Sepiana...I have versions 13 and 15 installed too - will that make a difference?

No, it shouldn’t. Every version of Elements is an independent one.

BillieJean,
I just thought of something else. Hopefully you will see this post before uninstalling PSE 2020. Let's try deleting the Preferences file. As PSE is crashing at start-up, you will need to delete it manually. Navigate the path below and delete the Adobe Photoshop Elements Prefs.psp file.
C:\Users\[Owner]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\18.0\Editor\Adobe Photoshop Elements 18 Prefs.psp

That worked thankfully. Thank you again Sepiana as I wasn't looking forward to uninstalling and reinstalling...now I don't have to...wonderful.
