I had a lot of fun with the "Cup" last week; thanks Helen!
Here is a moody tree and lane I found on Pixabay. Where does it go; what's next?

Great starter image, Tom. I am always on the lookout for the lone tree. The old house and rider are mine. I added a linen paper texture and removed it from the rider.

Some nice entries already; thank you!
Intriguing idea Frank, and great job on the selection technique; I was worried it would be too difficult but apparently not!
Same goes for Sepiana's offering. I'm going to have to try and see if I can duplicate the selection.
Good job removing the texture from the foreground Helen, while still retaining the moodiness. It gives believable depth to the finished image.

I didn't make a selection; I took the easy way out with a little trick. - Placed the house image on the tree image. - Changed the layer blending mode to Darken. - Reduced the Opacity.
