Bingo! The hint was in Helen’s post just before the puzzle. This thread has got me looking at words and thinking pictures and I remembered brill are a fish and the rest was history.

Thanks Tony. That fish is known to me as a turbot and when I looked that up I found that in the UK it is also known as a brill and voila!
Next one coming up.

Yellow brick road, construction, Diana, princess, donkey, queen, heirs, princes or princesses.

The yellow brick road is not a feature to be considered. Diana is the only one of your words that applies. A Donkey known by any other name is still.......
The question mark is Why?, not where, when, how or what for

Am I the only poetry enthusiast around here?
BTW, not mule either. And far from having anything at all to do with computers.

You probably know this one, though. It's very short and people are likely to read it when leafing through an anthology.
I was afraid the crowns might give it away without having to decipher the top line.

Thank you for the vote of confidence, Rita. Now to figure out what that might be....
