I was thinking that since we are stuck close to home we could exercise our creativity. Everyone on the forum is creative so give it a shot! We will start with the kitchen - find an object or objects that are found in the kitchen and photograph them. Don't feel you have to make fine art, just have fun looking at the kitchen and it's gadgets in a new light! We aren't going to guess what it is, just take some snaps and be creative in the item you find! I will start with this basic white creamer - I will add more as time permits me to. Please join in! Feel free to comment on the postings or ask questions. i.ibb.co/tMH2WrW/DSC-8190.jpg

Sounds great, Judy. I like your unique creamer against the cream background. You did a good job taking the picture. Reminds me of a pitcher that has been in our family since I was little....and now I wonder where it is?

Thank you Helen. I am sure I will come up with some more fun finds! A good project for a rainy evening.

So of course you sent me to my kitchen hunting for that pitcher. Promise to come back tomorrow with my own find.

So here's my "message" shot for today, Judy. I have plenty of things in my kitchen that I could "play" with for this theme. However, that pot is a reminder that I really need to start making some casseroles with Easter's left-over ham.

Well, this is rather ordinary. A kitchen knife. I cook the majority of our evening meals and have a thing for good knives. And by good, I mean sharp. We have quite the hodgepodge collection of good knives that mainly came from second-hand stores where you can buy some good quality knives if willing to sort through a lot of garbage knives. Once in a while you find a gem with good handle and steel. However, the knife shown was purchased new. In 1976, we lived in Ontario where I went to grad school. Money was tight (grad student with wife and two kids), but I was so fed up with the terrible knives we owned, so I went into a kitchen shop and bought a knife set which I think was $46 at the time. This was the large knife in the set and still one of my fave knives. It sharpens well on a steel.

The most used item is the kettle. This is my daily treat. Cappuccino coffee , with two marshmallows in it, and lots of drinking chocolate on top. Delicious.

Helen Nice. You show a Parmesan grater and a zest grater. What is the "strainer"? (Looks like a face mask for Elf on the Shelf baseball catcher. )

Must admit we are also collectors of kitchen gadgets - and especially kitchen utensils - so, while I was making a big batch of one of our favourite soups this morning (jalapeno and cheddar + a lot of other veggies) I thought I'd grab a shot of part of our spatula/spoon collection - one for every purpose - well maybe a lot more than one … Tony
