No hints, but one mis-hit... In other news, I'll finally have a camera tomorrow. Any recommendations on which photography thread is good for a beginner on this forum? Thanks

One mis-hit, one hint...time not good. Sorry can't help with your photography question but I'm sure one of the others will when they come on phildc.

Any recommendations on which photography thread is good for a beginner Are you starting from scratch or quite familiar with basics of composition, lighting, shutter speed, apertures and ISO? Lots of info on You Tube and many websites. I'll message you a couple of links.

Any recommendations on which photography thread is good for a beginner on this forum? Thanks Phil, I amy be misunderstanding your question but my suggestions would be to take a few minutes and explore the weekly challenge board, which gives you a specific topic to photograph, or the Today's Picture thread which just encourages you to share a picture of your choice.

Phil - good advice from Sepiana, Helen and Pontiac1940. As for today's Spot the Difference, a refreshing change from being too embarrassed to post:

Helen that is amazing! After nearly 3 minutes I had to ask for a hint. I have a casual observation about these challenges. If they are "angular" or boxy and in an semi-organized (say) like a "grid," my times are faster. If they are more irregular and flowing and perhaps less organize then I crash and burn.

So just for fun I tried to see if I could have a repeat performance....... If they are "angular" or boxy and in an semi-organized (say) like a "grid," my times are faster. No one has ever described me as organized.....so perhaps you're on to something.....LOL!

our brains must be wired differently (for you, this is probably a blessing ) More a matter of acceptance, I think. I wasted too many New Years' resolutions on becoming organized.
