I am getting old!
Yesterday I cropped an image to 3840 x 2160 pixels.
I am trying the same thing today and Elements 2019 will not let me alter the crop tool options to pixels; it keeps insisting that I use Cm. I have selected Custom and when I enter 3840 or 2160 in the width height boxes I get the message that I must enter a value in CMs.
What am I doing wrong?
Any help please?

Hi athegn, I also have PSE 2019; I was able to crop in pixels. See if this works for you. - Select No Restriction in the Crop Preset Options box . - Enter the dimensions you want (W: 3840 px, H: 2160 px). NOTE: Make sure you enter "px" in the box.
If the above doesn't work, try resetting the Crop Tool. Go to the left end of the Tool Options bar, click on the tiny downside arrow, and select Reset Tool.

Sure. Make sure you rename it so you do not overwrite the original.

Thank you. Told you I was getting old; forgot px. You are most welcome! And, no, you are not getting old! It is easy to forget the "px"; I have done it myself.

Question Can I save my custom crop? athegn, Are you talking about saving your custom crop preset -- 3840 x 2160 px -- so that it will be available to you in the Crop Preset Options box and you won't have to input it each time? If so, as far as I know, PSE doesn't have this capability. However, there is a workaround . . . - Create a new blank file with the dimensions of your custom crop preset. - Move or place (File>Place) your image onto it. - Reposition your image (if needed). - Flatten and save it. NOTE: Make sure you save the blank file you created; this will enable you to use it as a template whenever you need it.

Years ago I created some metric crop presets but that was when I had Photoshop; now only use Elements.
I will use the blank file method.
