Elements 7
Okay, I have known for years that the last filter used will remain at the very top of the filter menu where it can be click-selected or keyboard applied via CTRL+f ; this is all well and good and handy UNTIL a different filter is used, at which point that filter takes the place at the top.
While they would take their place at the top of the list, I actually did not think that such things as the NIK filters would work when called on in that manner without going through the big episode of opening the NIK window.
I have a particular recipe in NIK Color Efex Pro 4 that I use without change on probably 90% of my landscape images; having a whole herd of images to do, I was pleasantly surprised to find that, once I applied the NIK once, thus bringing it to the top of the list, then all I need do to apply it to a whole host of images (one-at-a-time), without the big ordeal of the NIK window opening, was to click it at it's location at the top of the filter list; no big drama, the last-used NIK filter just applies.
Of course, this is all well and good until I do something that invokes a different filter, at which NIK loses it's perch at the top of the list.
Is there any trick that will lock my NIK filter at the top of the list ?
Thanks for reading and all help is appreciated.

BuckSkin,
I may be wrong but I don’t think what you want is possible. Ctrl-/Cmmd-F is designed to call the last filter used (same values). It’s a way to speed up your workflow by telling Elements to repeat a filter without you having to do Filter> . . . again.
As a side note, if you want to call the last filter you used and open its dialog so that you can input different values, Ctrl-Alt-/Cmmd-Opt-F will do the trick.

Thanks, Sepiana; I guess my idea was just wishful thinking.
Elements 7 NEEDS a feature where a filter and it's adjustments can be locked into a "Favorite Filters" menu; maybe some software whiz person will create such a thing.....
Opening any of the NIK dialogues seems to take forever; whereas, just clicking the "Last Used" button is super-quick.
