Love the page Jacki and what a cute little mouse. Did you make it? Your rhyme brought back memories of a few years ago when we had a mouse in the house. In the best ‘Golden Girls’ tradition - picture this - and I’m trying to be delicate about it - I’m sitting on the throne in the bathroom when out of the corner of my eye I see a flash of movement and there before me was a tiny mouse. It had to stop at the closed door and turned and looked at me...I don’t know who was the more shocked the mouse or me...turned out we had a family of them living somewhere behind the washbasin in the bathroom. We got humane mouse traps and over the next few days caught mum and dad and a family of three which my husband released into the field behind us....phew!!!

I have just had a good laugh. I looked up the only poem I know about a mouse. I never ever knew that there was more than one verse. MOUSEI want to hear you singing along to this.

Love the page Jacki and what a cute little mouse. Did you make it? Thankyou Lillias, yes I did make the little mouse and I loved your story about your encounter with a member of the mouse family. My boys once had pet mice and I used to make them sit in the bath tub if they wanted to play with them, that way I figured they wouldn't escape to roam the house. We had a favourite one called Patches, I must try and find a photo of him.

Thankyou Margaret for putting that rhyme on loop in my head, who knew hippos had such climbing abilities?

I just knew you would both like it. Australia must be just a little too far for me to hear you, Jacki.

We used to sing something like this 'Hickory dickory dock, three mice ran up the clock, the clock struck one, and the other two got away with minor injuries'
