Love your teddy bears Jacki and your little poem. Are the bears more of your creative handiwork like your little mouse?

Thankyou Lillias, Yes I made the bears too, they measure about 5 inches tall.

Cute page and love your bears with their knit scarves, Jacki. Do you use a pattern or come up with your own designs?

Thank you Helen, the bear design is one of many that I have found on Pinterest, I usually sketch my own basic pattern from there, not always perfect but close enough. Their scarves are done on a little french knitting mushroom, hope you know what that is.

Their scarves are done on a little french knitting mushroom, hope you know what that is. I had one of those when I was about 5 or 6 years old. We made long strings that were wound around themselves and sewn together into flat circles and again sewn together to make little purses with a lanyard to hold a handkerchief to carry on the wrist when we were wearing a dress without pockets. My mother did the sewing, I hadn't learned that yet.
I kept one of them in my backpack for as long as I went to school. Kleenex had not yet been invented.

Is this what you remember Rita? The fourth bear has a scarfe done from a kumihimo flat braiding technique, something I've been teaching myself for years. i.ibb.co/zstywyL/frenchknitting.jpg

I remember having a large wooden spool with nails in the end for making braids.
