Aurora and the John Deere combine North of Coaldale at 11:39 PM September 27 There was a decent show for a few minutes just before midnight. This was shot about 14 minutes north of our house. F4, ISO 400 at 5 seconds. The near-full moon helped with scenery lighting.

Judy Thanks so much. I am honored. I arrived just in time to catch this quite short, vibrant display. A nice combination of the combine (which I had pre-scouted the day before in anticipation), the moonlight and of course the northern lights. Lucky me. Pat's "sam" is special...really like the effects. Ken's ladybird (ladybug) is super sharp, well lighted and great DOF. dandc's old-school train photo is pleasing to see and has a nostalgic feel from not just the old train but how it is presented. Thanks for judging this week Judy! Pat's beautifully constructed and presented dog portrait caught my eye everytime I saw it, adobeman's crystal clear macro made me stop and take notice of all the detail you miss in nature if you don't stop to take a closer look, Clive's Aurora IOW winning shot makes me want to run up North to see them soon. Thanks also for including my shot among your picks.
