For instance, if you look at your folder tree in the Windows explorer, you'll find your various drives with their letter names. If you see a drive with letter F: to create your master folder, you select (highlight ) the drive name, right click and choose the option 'New'. You enter the name you want to give to that master folder and it appears just under the name of the drive name in the folder tree. (It's not recommended to store the catalog folder or your media files directly in the 'root' folder of your drive.)

How do you make sure that it is at the head or I assume you mean the first thing? Thanks Stan

Ok after having my 5tb drive crash and getting a new 5tb drive I have my old system backed up on both drives. If I double click on PSE18db in the 5tb it opens the catalog in 2020 with the tags and thumbnails and the drive source for that picture. It does not bring up any photos that are on the c drive. If I bring up PE 2020 and then connect the 5tb drive and do a catalog restore and use the PSE18db as the source will it bring in the tags, thumbnails and the drive location of the photos only to the new computer? Thanks for all the help. Stan
