While looking through my layouts to find examples of a point I was making in another thread, I came across this layout. The cats were less than a year old and that ladder was near the 10 foot ceiling. And yes, I had to rescue one of them. How I miss them and their brother. What sweeties they were. And just look at those gorgeous tails.

Here's their brother - in the top photos, he was leaping to grab my tape measure - it was 5 feet in the air (I could never use the tape measure without his 'help') In the bottom photos, he was jumping from a stairway landing to a loft - my son would throw a wad of paper and he would follow it

I especially like the color, layout and details in the top one but they are both fun pages, Janice!

The top one was during my pulled pixel and matting text phases. I used both techniques in just about everything. Most of my pages have a humorous bent to them. I see something and my mind goes towards the absurd. Anura : the order for frogs I envision them awaiting their turn to take a dip in the birdbath

I envision them awaiting their turn to take a dip in the birdbath and in the meantime they are enjoying themselves in the sun...what a life eh!

Wow Janice, you have been scrapbooking for a long time! Did you ever scrapbook with paper etc or has it always been digital? I have just recently given away about 5 years worth of 'Scrapbooking Memories" magazines, hopefully someone else will be able to use them for inspiration. It's good to look back through the years and smile at the things that brought us joy.

I officially registered at Digital Scrapper in 2006, so I'm guessing I've been scrapping at least that long, however, I was making digital greeting cards a few years earlier than that using Word, then Greeting Card Programs. Purchased PSE and I came into Digital Scrapbooking through the backdoor. I found some scrapbook kits that would make good greeting cards and I found some websites listed in the back of a book called Digital Scrapbooking in Easy Steps. (They used PSE to teach Digital Scrapbooking, but I bought the book to learn PSE.) Digital Scrapbooking was an offshoot of learning PSE and finding scrapbook kits for greeting cards. No, I never paper scrapped, however, I did try my hand at hybrid cardmaking. I would do most of the work with PSE, print it out, cut it with fancy scissors, and then paste it onto cardstock. That's as far as I got with paper scrapping. These kits were from pcCrafter - a now defunct site - my first purchased kits You can see I was using gradients and layer styles early on. I made 30 greeting cards that Christmas - each one different

Wow - that Picture It disk has the year 2002 on it. I'm guessing I've been doing this for more than 20 years. (got my first computer in 1982 - been fascinated with computers ever since) Digital Scrapbooking/Card Making has been the most fun hobby I've ever had. Didn't know I had a creative side until I started this.

Love it Janice, what a fascinating look into your scrapbooking journey. I think I discovered PSE when searching for how to make a page curl, pretty sure it was a Panosfx action that got me started, my first PSE was 7, then 11 and 12, now PSCC and no mouse.... I cringe a little when I look at my first paper scrapbooking pages, and over the years I became more of a collector of paper and elements but did very little with them. It's the same with all the digital papers and elements that I've collected too, not to mention the software as well...

During my hybrid days, I collected stickers and cardstock, purchased and borrowed stamps, but just didn’t like the permanence of glue. And when you stamped - if you didn’t do it right the first time, there were no do-overs. With digital I can endlessly tweak. However, I am truly in awe of paper card makers. The stuff they do is so pretty. I kinda like it more than digital, but I never saw the joy in it that I experienced with digital.
I never made a paper scrapbook page.
It must be hard getting rid of your supplies. It signals an end of an era. I still have some cardstock. I really enjoyed shopping for supplies, but then they mostly sat in the closet.

It's interesting to see what others use PSE for...I've only used it once to make a digital layout for my wedding. I found an online printing company and have 2-12x12 photos of my work. I rarely use PSE for it's main use, which is photo editing nor for scrapbooking. I am what's called a tagger or signature maker. I do smaller stuff in comparison to what all of you are doing. cats4jan Your card designs kinda look like tags. I can't believe you made 30 different ones! I guess when the creative juices are flowing, THEY'RE FLOWING! I'll attach example of my tags...

I totally agree about the paper cards. I do make paper cards and I don't make digital cards, but when I make something digital, I can keep going back to it and looking at it and change it up a little to make it different, but with paper cards, I take a photo of them if I remember to, but once it's gone it's gone. People have told me, though, how much they enjoy receiving a paper card, so that's kinda what keeps me going, but I have enough supplies to last a few lifetimes. lol Same with digital, but you can use stuff over and over and never run out of it and it's all in one place. My computer.
