Thank you, Helen. Those were the only letters with the neon tubes left intact. The sign is gone now. These day to night photos I have done remind me of the old Nancy Drew mystery books. This one could be “The Mystery at the Old Motel”. Lol

Since it is the first day of spring - this is my last winter scene. Local round barn & my photo of the moon & sky and a bird brush from ?. Added a snow texture. i.ibb.co/VSmXm3T/DSC-6935.jpg

That's a great end to winter, Judy! The shadows work well with the position of the moon.

In that truck's day, the roads were a lot worse than today; narrow, crooked, no shoulders, even more poorly marked than today. The truck is probably a six-volt system running a pitiful 5- or so Amp generator instead of an alternator; give it some gas and the lights liven up a bit; let off the gas and they dim back down. From the looks of those headlights, you would have to strike a match to see if they were lit. Due to the generator barely being able to keep the lights on, it probably has vacuum wipers; vacuum wipers will completely quit for a mile or so; and then, wipe ninety miles an hour for a mile or so before quitting again. A heater was an option; and, if the original owner bought it in the summertime, he may have not opted for the heater, so no defrost either. I bet the driver wishes he had stayed at home by the fire.

Thanks for the interesting info, Buckskin. I have used this truck in a few of my photos as I have it from a few different angles. I love the green color it still retains. Don’t know if it still runs.

I took this It's such a cool door.....I only discovered it recently.....I wonder what it was used for? I may see if I can find out! Better take the bolt-cutters, a good flashlight, and a rat club. I really like that door. No doubt in an attempt to get in, some idiot has pried loose and disfigured the iron strapping that binds the rounded top of the wood.

BuckSkin I will send you a PM about that door so this Day/night thread doesn't get off track.

Beautiful, Judy! Would make a nice Christmas card....horse and buggy was a great addition. You are really perfecting this technique.
