F is for Florida Softshell Turtlephotos:cats4janThis guy came to visit today - he was in my side yard. We have a lot of turtles and tortoises here, but this is the first time I've seen one of these. He didn't seem to like posing for these photos, but what can I say... Background paper made with a tutorial provided by Digital Scrappers - using Filter>Distort>Wave (You start with a rectangle in the center of your page and apply the filter)

Nice photos Janice. Can't say I've heard of softshell turtles but he's got a lovely sheen on his shell. Nice page.

The info on them says their shells are covered by leathery skin. I didn’t see that and I don’t quite know what the website meant by that but it sounds like their shell would be vulnerable to attack instead of protective

F is for Florida Softshell Turtlephotos:cats4jan What an amazing looking animal, such a cute face with a pointy nose. Hope you don't get any gators visiting your yard.
And I love your elephant page, they are such majestic looking animals and I think this big boy knows it.

We had an alligator in our backyard pond - I never saw him, though. They removed him when a neighbor claimed he got her dog. It was the coyotes- Chompers got a bad rap. We don’t get a lot of wildlife around here because we are pretty much the city and a subdivision with houses on top of each other, but I have seen some interesting things here because of the water.

Looks like you have designed them quite an elegant setting, Jacki. And I see what you referred to before about them being more social than I realized.

Papers and elements from BlossumBlush. That looks like a lovely kit Jacki. I'm not a great authority on chickens but your little flock look to be in great condition.
