Last F images. More feathers. Today, on my way home from the river, I drove along a county road (vs the freeway) and a pair of bald eagles were sitting in farmyard trees just 5 minutes west of our house. I stopped and was able to get a few photos. One flew past me.   |

Clive I just have to say your bird photographs are spectacular... The Downy Woodpecker and the little Black- Capped Chickadee from your latest batch really take my breath away they are so beautiful. I enjoy seeing each and every one of them.

I enjoy seeing each and every one of them. Lillias, thank you for your kind words...and to tourerjim Taking photos helps keep me sane. My gear and desire to "take some snapshots" gives me a reason to go outside and walk. I makes me happy when I get a good photos and my ego demands that I share.  Thanks so much. Clive PS: Not sure about the next couple of weeks. After today, temps might prevent much outdoor activity except shoveling snow. Shall see. |

Missed most of the snow here - sent it to Helen instead! Didn't have to go far or get cold for this one - Finches at the Feeder shot through the bedroom window. Tony, great composition -- three finches (Rule of Odds). I really like the narrow cropping; it keeps our eyes on those hungry finches. |

F is for fence! Look close and you can see mouse tracks! Judy, beautiful shot -- the shadows/light and the leading lines (shadows, fence, mouse tracks) going diagonally across the frame. |

Footbridges - small, medium and large seen on my Foray around the park this morning. Dennis Dennis, what a great finding! My favorite is the large F image. The curvy footpath mimics the lines of the footbridge, inviting us to go over it to the other side. A very pleasing composition. |

F is for Fox, out in broad daylight in the middle of a Croydon Park. Brenda Brenda, in broad daylight! I'd love to have seen that F. I really like your composition -- allowing a lot of space around the fox. It adds a sense of motion to the image. |

Feathered friend. Female downy woodpecker. February 1, 2021. Lots of feathers. All taken today in the river valley. Black-capped chickadee, white-breasted nuthatch and tree sparrow. Clive, quite a collection of feathers in a variety of birds. Great job capturing the details on the feathers. |

A Flotilla of geese and Redhead ducks cruising in a patch of open water between the ice floes in the river on Groundhog Day. The geese and the local groundhog saw their shadows so we might have another 6 weeks of this weather! Thanks for the theme - and congratulations on #300  Tony, what a sight! They seem to be having so much fun. Very nice shot -- with layers of interest (ice floes, water, geese/ducks). And thanks for the congratulations! Time flies when one is having fun, doesn't it? 300 weeks/challenges!!! |

F is for ferris wheel. This one is dormant (with the seats removed) waiting for spring and vaccines. Thanks for the Fun theme Sepiana! Bill, this is a WOW image! I love the way you composed it -- the reflections of the ferris wheel become the star of the show. Very creative! |
