New edit on an old image. I shot this just a week after I got my first Canon DSLR in 2010. I've been messing with the editing on it for more than 10 years off and on. I think I finally got something l I can live with.

There were so many excellent images for this IOW, it was hard to narrow them down to three, but ....here goes: Pontiac1940 - Clive had a number of crazzzy-good images this IOW, but Aurora over Birds of Prey caught my attention the most - I just love auroras because I've never seen one here on my island and they are on my bucket list. Clive has captured the glow and the ghostly colors of the northern lights, which are offset by the warm glow of the lights in the house. ....in fact, it seems that Western Canada has had quite the regular, spectacular light shows this winter/spring! KathyLee - I love the composition and lighting in this image and the pattern/rhythm of the sand dunes is quite lovely. and the IOW goes to: Preeb's old barn(?) which it has only taken him 10 years to finish. [editor's note: ahaha......I'm sure we all have 10 year projects just waiting for us to finish them!]. The colors in the sky and the composition/rustic nature of the barn are quite spectacular - WELL DONE!!!
p.s. Alex R your 'buddy' is SO VERY CUTE!!!

Thank you for selecting my photo for IOW. I'm quite humbled, as there were several that certainly could have made the grade. Great job by all.

Pat, thank you for judging and including one of my photos. Congrats to KathyLee and, of course, to Rick for his old barn. Neat story about the 10-year post-processing! Gets better with time. Clive PS srmoment There have been 3 or 4 semi-decent aurora events this winter. Never as great as farther north, but fun to play with at odd hours. You are only 140 km farther south as us, so on occasion they should show up in Victoria.
