The Challenge this time is to create a design for a Book Cover.
This is not as daunting as it may look at first and I hope that you will give it a try. If you break it down it is simply 3 rectangles - two the same size - one for the back and one for the front cover of the book and the third slimmer rectangle for the spine. I made a template (below) for anyone who wishes to use it OR feel free to create or use one of your own.
If you need ideas to get started go to Google Images and search for ‘book covers’ and you will see a lot of good examples. Your cover can be as simple or as complicated as you care to make it. If you visit the likes of HiClipart or pngtree.com you will be able to obtain images of barcodes should you want to use one on your cover. Have fun and I look forward to seeing your book covers.
Here is my example...Images from Pexels, Pixabay, HiClipart and the moon brush by hawksmont of deviantart.

That certainly looks real, Lillias. The back cover is amazing. Did you find the synopsis, or are you the author of that?

Thanks whippet. I took bits and pieces from several different articles I found online and put it all together in my own words except for the quote by Brian May which I quoted verbatim.

Love your cover, Lillias. So often when someone comments on an image they will say......"that would make a great book cover". What a unique challenge. Your results look ready for the bookstore. Had fun working on this......

Thanks for getting us started Helen. What a great book that would be. Photographers visiting the area would be off to a head start with where to find the best spots to take their photographs. Very nicely done and I'm glad you had fun doing it.

Ha ha your little bear popping up there made me smile Frank. He looks like he’s having fun too. Nice perspective for the book.

Jacki thanks for taking part in this challenge. If ever I decide I want to keep chickens I'll be sure to look out for your book as it seems it would have the answers to all things chicken related...lol.

Wanted to skew the book to look like it was bent, but I'm afraid that will take a higher skill level than mine. However, I will try again...

I used the fiber filter to create the lines and then used liquify to round one end and transform distort to angle the other. After I had created one side I duplicate and flipped to make the other side. A number of Layer Styles completed the look. I also used liquify on the spine of the book.
