Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

The theme this week was a gift for me. For the past three or four weeks I have been nursing some Begonia plants on various window sills around the house. How timely for me to be able to show off the first signs of life which have appeared over the last couple of days. i.ibb.co/L5yXsbT/308-Signs-of-Life.jpgDennis

As previously noted, we had a good run of late-winter weather and two weeks ago I predicted we'd get more winter soon...just a normal thing here. Crocuses started flowering in our yard a few days ago. Yesterday, there were outrageous winds across Alberta...winds at the local airport hit 113 kph!! Then the strong winds shifted to the north and some snow fell and blew around. So signs of life in our garden have been largely covered with snow...just poking through. Will be +20°C here in 2 days.

Checked the spinach today that was sown outside last week and was pleased to see it had germinated so got out the macro lens to get up close. Be a few weeks before it's big enough to pick a salad! Tony

After seeing this posted by Fauxtoto in another thread I am trying to think of a different way of approaching this challenge. "Helen, you also could have post this clever quick snap in the current weekly photo challenge, "Signs of life"."

"Helen, you also could have post this clever quick snap in the current weekly photo challenge, "Signs of life"." Very appropriate for the theme - especially in these times (was that a new supply of toilet rolls to replace the one that got blown away ). Got me wondering about combining a "Sign of Life" with a "Still Life" Tony

Dennis Dennis, I really like how you angled your shot (downwards) and how the sunlight is falling on the Begonia plants. It "shows off" their coming to life.

Clive, the crocuses may be covered with snow but they are successfully coming up (just in time for this theme). Nice capture!

Tony Tony, perfect choice of lens for this shot. It gets the viewer close to the "action". Signs of life indeed!
