Windows 10. Google Chrome browser. I can't find where my list of passwords is stored. I have been through everything in Settings. And even when I do a search for 'passwords' in the various subjects in there, I don't have any luck. Luckily, I keep all my details in a note book, so managed to find my missing one. Thank goodness I don't trust technology too much.

I keep a list of passwords on a simple text file with a misleading name buried about ten folders deep somewhere nobody but me would ever look.
Another trick is to create a text layer (or layers) hidden within a PSD image file; so long as you remember which image file it is, accessing the password information is as simple as opening the PSD in the PSD capable program of your choice. No kind of search could ever reveal information hidden within a PSD; it can only be found by opening every PSD in the machine until the correct one is stumbled upon.

For what it's worth... My PWs are in a pinned Word doc that is password protected. (Now if I forget THAT password ... it is scribbled in code in my office.) When Word is opened, the PW doc is always in the "pinned" folder. Should I shuffle off this mortal coil, the top dozen or so PWs are in a hard copy in our safety deposit box.
Good luck whippet!

the top dozen or so PWs are in a hard copy in our safety deposit box. After my dead-beat crook brother accessed my dying father's Safety Deposit Box and cleaned it out (he is an attorney, though I wonder what has kept him from being dis-barred), I quit trusting such hiding places and do my own hiding/burying --- let him try to find anything valuable of mine and he might get more than he bargained for... My long-time neighbor's hiding place was in the third post-hole from the corner of the barn; that post was just a dummy and didn't have the wires stapled to it; he would wiggle the post out of the ground, lay on his belly, and reach down in the hole to retrieve the money jar. He didn't have any people at all when he died; I should have pulled that post and helped myself ----- come to think of it, I may be the only person that knows about it --- I need to drive by there and see if the fence is still there.

My solution is LastPass - a password manager

Thank you all for your responses. Loved the story, BuckSkin. Unfortunately that is the big problem, when NOBODY knows. Thank you so much Sepiana. Never in this world would I have thought to look in my profile. That is where they are, sure enough. Must admit, that is easier than XP or Windows 7 . . . when you know where to find it initially.
