This is a page about my Grandparents trip back to England. This photo and story were published in a newspaper there, no idea which one, so I borrowed a title from the area.

Nice story, Jacki. You can see the resemblance......they both seem to have the same smile. People had such large families back then.

Wonderful story Jacki and I agree with Helen - you can see the family resemblance between brother and sister. What a happy occasion that would have been for them after all those years apart. I remember how I felt back in 1996 when my sister came home for a short visit after 20 something years away. Nowadays we can keep in touch via the likes of Skype which while it's not the same as face to face contact is better than nothing.

They raised their nine children in the tiniest of houses, I grew up right across the road from them until I was 11, we were constant visitors.

How brave of them to travel to the other end of the world for their first flight.

How brave of them to travel to the other end of the world for their first flight. Yes and Grandma was not mobile from her waist down and had to be taken up to the plane on a scissor lift in her wheelchair, I remember how anxious she was about that bit of the journey.
