Wow how wonderful Jacki. What a story to tell, you must be so proud. I would think being the cook on an expedition such as that was a very important job indeed and certainly worthy of recognition. What a great scrap page.

You certainly have a very interesting family history, Jacki. And so wonderful that you are documenting it. Where did you get the pictures of the food items on the shelves? Love all the old packaging.

What a great scrap page. I vaguely knew about his story through my Grandmother, but it was other members of the family who did the research and found out what they could, I found an old menu from another expedition where the menu had such things as Penguin patties, seal steaks and roast reindeer, must have been an expedition to the North Pole as there are no reindeers down south.

Hi Helen, there's a place in New Zealand called Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium (Auckland). We were there back in 2014 and there was a recreation of the hut used by Robert Scott and his expedition party 1910-1913 to the Antarctic. Of course I had taken a few pictures, used poetic license to use them on my page as I figured they would have had similar items. Perhaps I'll post some more on my other page......
