After using a template created by a member of a FB group, I decided to try to create one of my own. While this could use some refinement, I did save the PSD and hope to see if I can improve it. Nevertheless, I thought it might be fun to share my first attempt.

I like the design of this template. My only suggestion - a place for a title/date or some journaling. When I look back on layouts, my only disappointment is when I didn't date something/title something. You think you will always remember...

I think it looks great Helen and the images you have used set it off nicely.

I think it looks lovely, Helen. I really like how you have done the sections, with the bottom left being so different, but fitting in so well. Personally, I like it, as is. The silver design is a really nice touch.

Your comments are appreciated, Janice, Lillias and Margaret. I tried another one with 6 boxes.....it no longer divides the two images in the lower left. I am adding links to both templates if anyone would like to try them. 8-box template 6-box template. Feel free to try and customize as you see fit.

Nice template for showing off your garden photos. I like how you placed the 2 photos in the lower left corner to make it look like 4 separate photos. I also like the silver design.

Thanks, Karen.....I prefer that one as well( it was actually a happy mistake).....I think I could have made a better choice of images to use with the second one. But I always say that we don't have to be perfectly happy with something to share it. They often are the ones that we learn from.

I like how the thicker lines frame the bottom right photo - a simple technique, but so effective.

Thanks for trying these out, Lillias!
I especially like the way you added the vines and how the butterflies appear to be 3-D in the first one.
I agree with Janice about the second one....the OOB's certainly add interest and the addition of the grasses was a nice touch.
