Spending a lot of time at home in recent times and watching the birds at the feeders in the backyard while enjoying a glass of something enjoyable is a relaxing occupation where I live. The orioles returned a few weeks ago and are in the middle of nest building but stop by for a mouthful of grape jelly or to suck on an orange. This male today was looking at the camera very suspiciously. BTW the cage around the feeder is not to keep the orioles in (they slip in and out easily) but to keep the raccoons out. We had problems with raccoons stealing the grape jelly (including the pot) a while back and so far the raccoons haven't figured out how to open the cage door. Tony

tourerjim , this is a great example of a whimsical sense of humor. I am still laughing. Very original entry!

I live in Waterside Place, next to the river Wandle. My flat is ground floor on the left. The Wandle River flows north into the Thames in London. Matthew Matthew, what a beautiful place to live in! Urban setting + nature. It looks so tranquil!

I live in a New Jersey coastal town. I stopped by the beach where people were enjoying the 75° temperatures. Helen, and it’s not even summer! Really nice "warm" images.

Was letting the dog outside about midnight for his last potty stop of the day and we were having a pea soup fog. Just grabbed my camera and took this from the back porch. Not one of my best, since it's hand held at 1/5 second so it's a little soft, but it fits the theme. Rick, Beautiful! I like how the light shines through the tree branches. A beacon of light in the midst of a pea soup fog.

I don't know if this is exactly what it intended for the topic, but I'll give it try. Like my photo above, this was taken from my back porch. I mowed the yard yesterday, after a longer than usual interval, so it left behind rather significant grass stems with full seed heads. This female great tailed grackle was eagerly harvesting the bounty of precut nest building material. So I see this as an environmental example of one of my neighbors "Where I Live". Rick, glad you gave it a try. You got an environment-themed entry with the added bonus of a "feather" neighbor. Very creative!

The iconic Hawthorne Bridge leading to downtown Portland. Sorry about the pure white sky, but it's May, so it was raining. ISO 160, F/5.6, 120 sec. Bill, nothing to be sorry about! This is an impressive shot (with milky water to die for). Way to go!

Old courthouse on the square kdcintx, very interesting building with those long and narrow windows. Lots of architectural details to keep the viewers' attention.

Where I live, things are at last coming back to life. Here at our local restaurant, now happily reopened, tables are ready and customers enjoy a casual drink, while around the other side, preparations are under way for a wedding gathering. Dennis Dennis, two inspiring images! They lift our spirits; life is starting to return to normality. Great examples of "a picture is worth a thousand words".

This is as close to "where I live" as I can get. Our humble bungalow. Clive, I quite agree. You can’t get any closer. Nicely done!

The nearest station to where I live. A very ordinary suburb to the south of London, but having lived here for over fifty years, I love it as much as ever. Brenda Brenda, this is such a quaint (right word?) station -- with an old-fashioned charm. I really like your subject; it exudes nostalgia.

This one looks well-fed. I bet he’s happy with you keeping the raccoons at bay. Quite a shot!
