We live on a rain water retention pond, euphemistically called "Lake Arlington" - I get to see this wonderful sight from my back window. I am continually amazed at our sunsets - didn't know they came in so many colors. These photos are from my p&s and are not enhanced in any way.

That's quite a collection of sunsets Janice. I'm afraid we have nothing so colourful in my neck of the woods. Love the artistic embellishments added to your page.

Thanks. Although my p&s doesn’t handle low light all that well so the results are grainy, it does a great job with colors - really capturing the intensity of the sunsets as they reflect off the water. I am always amazed at the variety of color schemes I see. I like how the row of houses are the break between sky and water reflection.
Because I shake when I try to use the night setting and you need to keep still longer with that setting, I brace the camera on my plant stand to help steady the camera. At times like this, I wish I had a better camera and a tripod.
