A chance comment about Trixie Beldon books in a Hallmark movie (favorite books when I was a pre-teen) sent me on a journey to find photos of the neighborhood library I spent so much time at — no library photos - but a trip down memory lane nonetheless.

Well this was a very interesting page, had no idea that an indoor pool was called a natatorium! I’ve endured many chlorine smelly hours while the boys learned to swim in an indoor pool.

I've never heard that name for an indoor pool before either. Expanding my education again Janice...lol.

I'm guessing Natatorium is a word that is no longer used. Note - I correctly used Natatoria for the plural - however, I can't take credit, it was used in the articles I was reading. LOL I have no idea why the mention of Trixie Belden hit such a memory ... I get the feeling Trixie Belden was trying to compete with Nancy Drew...
Here's a 1958 version - more my style;

Reminding me of afternoon visits to the library, Janice. My favs were Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys and Cherry Ames.
