pontiac1940, your interpretation fits this cliché to a T (A stitch in time saves nine . . .). Nice job!

Fun theme and one where you could likely take a pic and then find a cliché to fit using the helpful search on that webpage - which is what I did with this one. I'll go with "Get the Ball rolling" or it could be "Grin and Bear it" Carving of the stump of a dead ash tree by a local chainsaw artist - quite a few around thanks to the emerald ash borer. Tony, great finding. Two for the price of one! I’m for the "Get the Ball rolling". (I’m a BIG soccer fan after all. )

So it turns out I have a double here. We went to the Sculpture Gardens today so I could take pictures of the lotus flowers but they were not looking very good. So there are two cliches here: 1. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. And ....A picture’s worth a thousand words. Helen, at least you got something out of your visit – two clichés. I really like the 1st one. Nice job!

A rose by any other name .... Jacki, very nice! I really like how you made the rose the star of the show (no distracting elements in your composition.)

My cliche is "light as a feather". Dennis Dennis, you nailed it. I’m in awe! Perfect interpretation of "light as a feather".

"Why the long face?" Thanks for the theme!! Bill, great finding. Look at that face! This is a perfect match to this cliché. Well done!

Water under the bridge. Matthew Matthew, two great interpretations of this cliché! My favorite is the 2nd shot (at eye level with the water). It emphasizes the "under" angle!

Last night, I was taking pix of the sun as it is once again horribly smoky here from fires in BC. As luck would have it, a flock of birds (blackbirds or starlings perhaps) crossed in front of the sun. Fluke...not planned. Clive, this is quite an example of being at the right place at the right time. Just in time for interpreting . . . Birds of a feather flock together.

I chanced upon two further cliches while walking in south London today. The first is self-explanatory and the second is a genuine ugly duckling. Brenda Brenda, what a finding! I love the 2nd image. Great job capturing this duckling’s genuine ugliness. I just keep going back to look at his feather details.

Late again. You can't see the wood for the trees.

This started out as a mistake. I had forgotten to clip my hue/sat layer to the frame layer and it affected the frame, the photo, and the background. Decided I liked the way the photo looked with its green tinge. Trying to find a way to make this mistake into a scrapbook page, the cliche entered my mind. Then, I remembered there was a "cliche challenge" running...
This is my sunset photo from the other night
