Another wall - the building is over 100 years old so I'm guessing these are old bricks too! And one more - this glazed paving brick was from the main street in town when it was paved with bricks around 1900. Recovered when the road and sewers were redone a few years ago. The bricks were imported from the US - Nelsonville Block in Nelsonville, Ohio. Tony, great finding! My favorite is the first image -- with a fill-the-frame composition and the angle you used to shoot those old bricks.

There are lots of brick pavers and buildings in Portland's Old Town. Thanks for wrangling the challenge again Sepiana! Bill, two great images. I love the contrast -- the old brick pavers/building bricks vs the modern transportation. So nostalgic!

Three of the eight BRICK arches of the Hanwell Viaduct, which carries the Great Western Railway across the Brent River valley in west London The piers are all hollow brickwork and house colonies of bats. Matthew Matthew, beautiful brickwork! Great idea taking a second shot, zooming in to capture the brick details, bringing the hollow brickwork to the attention of the viewers.

Pretty proud of the the paver path I laid in 2010 in our backyard. It has remained level and tight since. Clive, and you did a nice job with both laying the path and taking a shot of it.

An intriguing miscellany of old and new brick on our local church reflects an interesting history of change and development. Brenda Brenda, what an interesting mix of old and new brick! My favorite is the first image. I love the symmetric composition.

Went on a brick hunt today......here are three from a nearby church cemetery. Helen, and the hunt paid off. Interesting brick work. We can see how the passing of time has affected it.
