With only 11 submissions this week you would think that selecting the top three shouldn’t be that hard. But it is….and especially when you are trying to do three things at once! First Bloom by deany has a delicate color palette that works well with the newly bloomed orchid. As always, I like the way Dean presents his work raised slightly off the mat. Into the Mist by srmoment has a wonderful misty feel to it. I especially like the sunlight that is shining through and glistening on the waves. The ship is a strong subject and the hints of orange work nicely with the image's blue tones. IOW
Ferruginous Hawk by pontiac1940 . As an experienced photographer, Clive’s images are often shot when the light is “just right”. As a result they often seem to have a beautiful glow about them. The hawk is expertly focused, and backed by a beautifully blurred background.

Thank you for judging Helen.
Congrats to deany and srmoment. deany, we love orchids and have a several ... you've capture this well. Pat, we've watched boats along the coast of Vancouver Island ... perhaps close to where you photographed this fishing boat. Nice moody photo.
Helen, thanks for selecting my hawk photo for the IOW. Lucky me as it sat for a couple of minutes and let me take photos...most fly away long before I can get a photo.

Congratulations Deany, srmoment and special congrats to Clive for IOW. Each image chosen is so different from the other and shows what a wealth of talent we have in the forum members.
