Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.NOTE This week’s theme is about capturing something which is made by man and which is nestled in nature, i.e., in a natural setting. Grab your camera and tell it to find such a scene. It shouldn’t be too difficult! Man-made objects are everywhere and so is Mother Nature’s work.

Our local Community Garden is man made, by Claudio Funari, who with hard work and imagination has used natural materials to create a garden from a neglected riverside plot of land. The two photographs show opposite sides of the trunk of a dead tree which he has carved and painted himself. Just one feature among many in this wonderful achievement. i.ibb.co/R9p7f8J/330-1.jpgi.ibb.co/Lk71jJC/330-2.jpgDennis

Woman made in nature. All rocks being from the surrounding land. Weeds courtesy of the 4.1 inches of rain in less than 3 hours last week. Will be gone soon enough.

The city storm sewer system runs under the bottom of a ravine I frequently walk. The incongruity of a manhole cover in a forest trail was not wasted on a local who uses it to design and maintain different mandalas a couple times a week. So we have a natural setting, with a person-made object, decorated with natural elements laid out by a person. Thanks for the theme Sepiana. I love this path and on seeing the theme this morning I knew immediately where I'd go today.

A chain-saw carver recently gave a demo in a local park - no shortage of material as a result of the emerald ash borer and the tree removers leaving the stumps for carving. Here's one of their man-made creations in a naturalised corner of the park. Tony

Made long ago, now a favorite of the javelina in the hot summer months. Bats and rattlesnakes too. Quiz - what are the two most promenade greens you see? Can you name them?

Many pairs of feet have tramped out this path along the side of the South Downs, and today we added our contribution. i.ibb.co/bJnhfgt/Path.jpgBrenda

Dennis Dennis, great interpretation of this theme -- two colorful and sharp images! Capturing your subject from opposite sides enables the viewers to fully appreciate the artist’s imagination and skills.
