A question tho, this is not a hosting site right? Your images reside in your computer but don't take up space on the forum when posted.right? You are correct that the images are not stored on this forum. The images are certainly on your computer, but that is not where the forum is accessing them. You are hosting your images at a third party location like TinyPic or postimage. Our forum is then referring to the images that are hosted there. I, like the other posters, am able to see your images fine, both in this thread and in your gallery. This leads me to suspect it is one of two possibilities: 1) The problem is with the hosting solution and is intermittent, therefore you might not see them at some point but others will see them fine later 2) The problem is local to your computer. This is the easiest to confirm, by trying other browsers and other computers

I have tried both scenario's you mentioned,,,,,,,,,,the mystery continues. Using postimage is a workaround, maybe the system just developed a glitch overnight when it downloaded those 74 updates.

.I keep saying Win8 but it's really 8.1

Dick,
I did a quick search and found reports of this "disappearing act" by images hosted at TinyPic involving different browsers (including the one you use, Chrome). It may be a good idea to change gears and focus on this variable -- Chrome. Have you thought about posting in the Chrome forum? It looks like the ball is in their court.

At this point I really don't know where to turn. I have tried using IE as a browser and the same problem existed or at least I was seeing the same thing. I also tried a different computer and saw the same. I am running a system restore as we speak back to 6/25/2015 and for some reason it's taking a lot longer than Win 7 or Vista ever did. This is the weirdest thing tho,,,,,once again briefly,I can post an image from Tinypic to this forum, that's not a problem, you and others can see this image but I can not see it thus I'm thinking it did not post or I forgot something.. Then to compound this problem, the pictures in my gallery started disappearing, the comments remain but no image. I need to go check on the restore thing across the room. dick

Ive got an idea lets see what this does,I'm going to post an image from "Tinypic" then post the same image from My Pictures from my computer using "postimage" Here is the TinyPic Image and here it is again from my computer via postimage
I see the image from the "postimage" effort but do not see the image from "Tinypic". I do however see an ICON in it's place that is a dogeared image of a mountain with a cloud. Do you see the image from "Tinypic"?

My take on this problem is, it doesn't exist and I will divorce myself from it and use postimage in the future, end of discussin on my part, dick

Then to compound this problem, the pictures in my gallery started disappearing, the comments remain but no image. Dick, I had the same problem a few days ago. My gallery image (I only had one at the time) disappeared & the comments remained. I was using Cubeupload and Firefox is my browser. Sepiana got me to delete my image from Cubeupload & re-upload it & that seemed to solve the problem. Bayla

Hi Dick Yes, I can see both the one from TinyPic and the one from Postimage. Clicking on the Postimage one brings up a lovely picture If you can see the Postimage ones, then I would just use that method

My browser is google chrome and I have no problems viewing these images elswhere,,,,,,,the mystery continues I don't have Chrome but I am wondering if the problem is related to your content settings. You may have to adjust them to our site.
Adjust images, JavaScript, and other web content settings
At this point I really don't know where to turn. I have tried using IE as a browser and the same problem existed or at least I was seeing the same thing. I also tried a different computer and saw the same. I may be wrong but this looks like another case of content settings for the browser. For example, IE has a setting called "Tracking Protection" (which protects your privacy). If this setting is turned on, sometimes, when you go to certain website, you cannot see images, play videos, etc. Just turning off this setting for the site in question will take care of the problem

There are 30 options under Content Settings in about 10 categories. The recommened button's are all checked and if they need to be changed then I don't have a clue to which. dick

I have done everything I can think of. I thought maybe something common between my wife's computer and mine. The only thing is the router/modem, I powered it down for a reset along with both machines. I put IE on my wife's machine and Google C on mine. The exact same problem exists inside of the walls of this house between the display on our monitors. I have even got completely out of my PSEM and came back in,changed my password and same happens.. Do you think it could be the server that I'm linked to? I know I'm grasping at straws but if I ever find out I'll bet it is going to be a weird one. I was able to add 3 mages to my gallery but can't add to a post ...is there by chance a particular sequence that must be followed for a post? Somebody tell me what you do when adding an image to a post step by step.
