Some info re Artist Trading Cards... Artist Trading Cards come in either portrait or landscape form... Sizes being 2.5” x 3.5” (750 x 1050 pixels) or 3.5” x 2.5” (1050 x 750 pixels). Usually on the back of the cards they have the title, the name of the artist and the date and can be made in any medium including digitally. They are like works of art in miniature. I hope that some of you will feel free to have a go…here is a couple of examples I have done.
Days of Wine and Roses Kit used- Lilac and Wine by Rosie H Designs and other additions from yopriceville and Hiclipart.

This doesn't remind me of a trading card. Think it would look more like a trading card if I had used portrait mode. Never understood what ATC's were, but I'm guessing it's just any design in this size??? Think it needs to be simpler, too.Reworking of an old layout -- not sure I still like the background colors with that photo Note: one photo in all three frames

I'm trying to post version 2 and it posts huge - even larger than the one above - Lillias, how did you get yours to post in such a nice size? I am using imgbb - maybe that's my problem?? EDITTrying: Save for Web 35%

Janice if you go to Google images and type in Artist Trading Cards you will see a wide variety of samples or I should say examples of Trading cards. They are the same size as those football or pokemon cards apparently. Lillias, how did you get yours to post in such a nice size? I am using imgbb - maybe that's my problem?? No I post them using imgbb to. Once you have made your card go to Save for Web and in the percentage column change it to 35%...and that should give you the smaller upload.

Thanks for starting this, Lillias. Here is my first attempt. I used a watercolor tree from design bundles and a paint splatter brush from Julie Meade. I used Topaz Restyle followed by CE 4 filter to recolor the tree. Thanks for asking about the size cats4jan!

This time I just used one of my pictures and found a phrase that I thought would work with it.

Never understood what ATC's were Neither did I for a long time but you can find out all about them here. Quite interesting. That's a good one Helen and the phrase is so true. When my little Peruvian niece was here on holiday many years ago now, she was intrigued by the exercise bike I had at the time. She used to ask to use 'the bike that goes nowhere'.

Thanks for that link, Lillias - What I got from it is that I can do anything I want - as long as it's the proper size. LOL
I can't imagine actually trading them, though.
Wonder when it became popular as a digital art form...

The idea of doing digital ATC's is a fun one - a simple creation when you don't have time for (or interest in) a full layout
