We really have an exceptional forum here, don't we?!. It is impossible to overstate the value of being able to get timely and expert answers to questions about Photoshop Elements. For extending my skills though, the tutorials offered in the Creative Effects Challenges have taught me most of what I know about using Photoshop Elements. All the challenges and contests are hosted by one or more generous members. Recently one of the Creative Effects Challenge hosts needed to step away, leaving us with just 4, so we are hoping someone (or two!) of you will step forward and become a Creative Effects Challenge host. Because it is offered once every two weeks, your turn would come around once every 10 weeks. We have a board visible only to CEC hosts which contains a large number of tutorials that you will get access to. Please consider this request to join the CEC team; if you decide to do it or have any questions before you decide please let me know!
In the meantime, the challenge this time is to pick one (or more!) of the past Creative Effects Challenges and give it another try, or find a past challenge that you didn't get to the first time around, and post your results in this thread. Here is the complete list of the Creative Effects Challenges for you to choose from. You *will* be amazed by the many wonderful tutorials in our collection! I look forward to seeing your creations!

I have chosen Franks Comic Book Effect Challenge No 114. I enjoyed it the first time round and had fun with it again... Image from Unsplash.

CEC 102 - Smart Brush Sketch Effect is one that got by me somehow. I am so glad I finally gave it a try! Here is my first result:

OK, I tried another using the same technique (CEC 102), but applied it to the background instead of the subject, then added a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer to it. I'm really excited about the possibilities using this technique!

Tom, I like both of your results. You are inspiring me to give this another try.....after I do the copper etching which is one of my favorites. Look forward to trying these tomorrow.

I like the way CE Challenge # 65 works on historic locations. I have saved my copper plate as a PSD file, which has allowed me to only have to follow the second video to create a new image. I am posting two....the first I know I shared before but it isn't in the original post and one I just completed this morning. The Post Office is my favorite.

It’s amazing how quick you (meaning myself) forget all the different amazing techniques available using this software. This is a great way to do some revision. Here I have used Creative Effects Challenge No 17 - Rich Tints with Gradient Creative Effects Challenge No 17Image from Pixabay

What a great idea, to bring the challenges back to the fore, Tom. I think this one is brilliant. As are the other submissions.

Well that's an oldie, Lillias. I forgot I had even hosted this challenge. The Stained Glass effect was another great one, Tpgettys . I look forward to doing some additional challenges and being inspired by additional posts to this thread.

Nice to re-visit these techniques. Great idea to 'go back in time'

I was looking at CEC 128 about Cross Processing. I used the Cross Processing filter in Nik, then used the Enhance | Adjust Lighting in Elements to get this image: (image from Pixabay)
